Senator Ron Wyden is pushing something called "Smart Track" that could seriously undermine our work to stop secretive deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership from being railroaded into law.

According to Senator Wyden, Smart Track will woo Democrats who previously voted against Fast Track by including so-called environmental and human rights protections.

From what we know about Smart Track, it seems like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Any trade promotion authority -- including Smart Track -- that lets a president sign a trade agreement before Congress debates and approves the deal is unacceptable.

Call Sen. Wyden and tell him to stop his push for 'Smart Track' trade authority.

Hi my name is __{NAME}__ and I'm calling today to ask Sen. Wyden to stop his push for 'Smart Track' trade authority. Any trade promotion authority that lets a president sign a trade agreement before Congress debates and approves the deal is unacceptable. Major trade agreements like the Trans-Pacific Partnership should be openly debated in congress. Constituents should have the ability to read these agreements and voice their opinions to their representatives before they are voted. 'Smart Track' still circumvents this process - and Sen. Wyden should drop his support for it immediately.
